Blue Angels pilots & visualization
When I was a kid, I always used to love going to air shows. The shrieking sound that would go right through me when the jets fly by...so exhilarating! That fondness re-ignited in me when I recently watched a Blue Angels documentary. I was tickled to learn that through the pilots' shear gravitas of testosterone, there lies a beautiful practice of "chair flying".
Chair flying. Like it sounds--all the pilots are in a room sitting in their chair and visualizing their course as if they were actually flying. Almost like a flying meditation. This technique helps them connect to the flight course as well as to each other.
Meditation and visualization are evidently potent, not only to relieve stress and bring calm, but also, as this video shows, to get the results you want. So sit and fly! You got the power!
